Module 9: Mobile Learning

Classrooms have been inundated with new technologies in recent years. Student access to mobile technologies such as smart phones, tablets, and chromebooks means that teachers are able to redesign their lesson plans to offer a greater level of gamification and interaction by the students with near-instant assessment. Integrating mobile devices into learning not only increases student interest and engagement, it also creates an opportunity to improve student proficiency in using increasingly complex technological devices.

In this module, we were asked to create an interactive flyer of mobile apps that would be useful in our future classrooms. Each app has been described and the app evaluation includes a concrete example of how the app could be used in the classroom. I elected to use Smore to create my flyer as I felt this program had a user-friendly layout and attractive templates. My flyer has been created with the high school Spanish classroom in mind. Please take a look at the apps I evaluated in my Smore flyer by clicking here or using the link below. You can also scroll through my flyer using the image to the right.
